Everyone Despises Us, but You Showed Us God’s Love

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. (Matthew 25:40)

FHI’s annual Let’s Break Bread initiative brought joy to fifty (50) children with intellectual disabilities at Rev. Father John’s Special Unit in Winneba, reaffirming God’s love despite societal disregard.

The event was marked by moments of celebration, with participants eating, singing, dancing, and sharing Christmas cheer with gifts provided by FHI. The proceedings commenced with a prayer and an exhortation on the theme “God loves everyone” (John 3:16). The preacher, Brother Emmanuel Agypong, emphasised God’s non-discriminatory love, extending to all individuals, including those with intellectual disabilities. He led the children, their teachers, and accompanying mothers in prayer, seeking the ultimate gift of salvation.

At the end of the celebration, each pupil received a Christmas gift educational material pack, and the teachers received a grocery gift to show gratitude for their selfless service.

We express our gratitude to God for the opportunity to demonstrate love and care to the needy. Special appreciation is extended to the FHI team, comprising six (6) males and two (2) females, who diligently made all necessary arrangements for the program. The success of the event would not have been possible without the financial support of FHI partners and associates. God richly bless them all. Merry Christmas.
