A Harvest in the North

Since 2013, FHI has continued this assignment by the grace of God, and the 2026 Go-North Missions marked our 20th short-term missions trip and 9th missions engagement among the unreached Nanumba people. From 4th to 21st September 2026, a team of 15 missionaries ( 3 females and 12 males) ministered in Pudua and Chichagri among the Nanumba people and Likambol among the Kokomba people, through House-to-House Evangelism, Jesus Film Shows, Crusade, Medical Outreach and a Children’s Rally. Together, these outreaches opened doors for the Gospel to be proclaimed, lives to be touched, prayers to be answered and people to respond to Christ.

The result was a bumper harvest: 3,159 people were reached with the Gospel, with 1,179 recorded as accepting Jesus Christ as their lord and Saviour. A total of 554 souls won through Jesus Film Show, Crusade and House to House evangelism, 532 souls through medical outreach and 93 children through the Children’s Rally.

The Lord also granted 41 recorded healing testimonies, including 40 in Likambol and 1 in Pudua, with 9 of those healed in Likambol given the opportunity to testify about what the Lord had done.

Beyond the numbers, the mission also witnessed the planting of a church in Chichagri, with the first service attended by 13 adults and 125 children. To support the new believers in their walk with Christ, four Bibles were distributed to those who could read, while audio Bibles in the native language were provided to nine people who could not read. Moreover, six people continued to meet the mission team for a small group discipleship.

These figures represent ministry responses across the various outreaches, and some individuals may have participated in more than one outreach. Nevertheless, the testimony is clear: *the Gospel was proclaimed, souls were won, lives were touched, healing was experienced, a church planted and doors were opened for continued discipleship.

The labour continues. The need remains great. The fields are still white for harvest. But this year, we have seen another glimpse of what God can do when His people are willing to go. The North is a mission field. The harvest is plentiful. The labourers are needed. And the work continues.

We give all glory and thanks to God, the Lord of the harvest, for His faithfulness, protection, provision and grace. We deeply appreciate our FHI individual partners, partnering churches, mission organisations and supporters for their prayers, financial support and encouragement, as well as the 2026 Go-North Missions team for their sacrifice, commitment and willingness to serve. Together, we celebrate what God has done and remain committed to the vision of reclaiming the North of Africa for Christ.

May the Lord of the harvest continue to strengthen every partner, bless every church, reward every giver, encourage every intercessor and empower every missionary.

The harvest is plentiful.

The labour continues.

The Gospel must go.

And to God alone be all the glory!
