Do we preach the Gospel to Muslims?

Do we preach the Gospel to Muslims?

I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must lead these also, and they will listen to my voice. So, there will be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10:16)

There are other people of different sect who also needs to hear the gospel and must not be left out. Most often, there are a lot of arguments or notions which come up as to whether we need to share our faith with people of other religious sects. This reminds me of a question one of my disciples asked; Do we PREACH the Gospel to Muslims?

It happened that one day I went out with this disciple who is my language facilitator.  On that day I gathered some young boys, about six (6) of them, trying to reach out to them with the Gospel. In gathering the people, I was asked by my disciple and some of the young men to excuse the Muslims from the meeting. I insisted that they be part of the meeting. After the meeting. My disciple asked the question under discussion.

Many people behave like my disciple. They thinks both Christians and Muslims believes in the same God, but this is not true .While Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and saviour who was sent as a sacrificial lamb for the sins of the world , Muslims believe Jesus(Issah) as a prophet, born of virgin and had something called the gospel (injil.)

Muslims are one of the most discussed but least reached people group among the unreached. They comprise of three, 213 of the globes unreached people groups of 7,407.

Tragically, there is only one (1) Christian missionary for every 405,000 Muslims and most Christians are not sharing                the Gospel with them because of various notions and perception.

Irrespective of our differences on the subject matter under discussion. There are clear Biblical evidences in support for the argument that the Gospel must be preach to all especially Muslims.

Some biblical basis of reaching out to Muslims:

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his unique Son so that everyone who believes in him might not be lost but have eternal life.( John 3:16) .

1. This wonderful scripture about Salvation which shows how God loved the world. The world here stands for people of all kinds, which includes the Muslims and people of others faith. God have interest to see everyone saved, which includes the Muslims.

2.  My second POINT is that Jesus talked about others that must be bought to the sleep Food.

I have other sheep that don’t belong to this fold. I must lead these also, and they will listen to my voice. Therefore, there will be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10:16)

This scripture clearly reveal that there are others who need to believe in the lord Jesus who have not Yet believer which includes the Muslims.

3. The third point is that Jesus commanded the Apostles to preach the gospel to all Nations in MATTHEW 28:18-20.

This Nations here means the people group. God’s heart desire is to see all people groups saved. Moreover, let not forget every Muslim comes from a people group.

Now in Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. He was a devout man who feared God, as did everyone in his home. He gave many gifts to the poor among the people and always prayed to God. (Acts 10:1-2)

This scripture clearly reveals that Cornelius was devoted religious man ,even be to the extent that He saw an angel ,but He was not saved. The key point is only through Jesus that we can be saved.

There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
